The final gameweek has arrived, and with it, the last opportunity to take some punts. If you are chasing in a mini league or simply want to try and gain some rank on the last day, we have you covered with four differential options in defence, midfield and attack.

Antonee Robinson

Ownership in FPL: 0.9%

Price: £4.9m

Position: Defender

Fulham’s left back Antonee Robinson kicks off our list of differentials for the final day. While fullbacks have been out of fashion this season, the American has made an interesting case for himself going into gameweek 38.

In a bit of dreary gameweek 37 from an FPL perspective, there was at least one moment of note thanks to Robinson. The American stepped up at the Molineux and confidently dispatched a penalty on the stroke of half-time. Defenders who take penalties have been in short supply since Leighton Baines retired, so these duties alone make him worthy of consideration.

While Fulham don’t have much to play for, their last home game of the season represents an opportunity for them to put on a show for the fans. Their opponents, Newcastle, are in a similar boat, which could set up an end-to-end encounter.

As one of Fulham’s chief creators, Robinson could stand to benefit from this game state, especially if they are awarded a penalty in the chaos.

Konstantinos Mavropanos

Ownership in FPL: 2.1%

Price: £4.5m

Position: Defender

Speaking of attacking defenders, Mavropanos has been a threat for West Ham from dead-ball situations of late. Despite this, he still finds himself with just 2.1% ownership. West Ham and Mavropanos have everything to play for on the final day.

In the last six gameweeks alone, he has put up a shot in the box per game, and three of these have been big chances. He converted two of them into goals in gameweek 32 and has been continuing to knock on the door. This bodes well, as his opponents, Leeds, have conceded the third most chances from set pieces in the league this season.

The big Greek is a menace at both ends of the pitch. In the last four gameweeks, he has reached the defcon threshold on three occasions.

With West Ham’s survival hopes coming down to the final day, you can rest assured that they will be giving their all in gameweek 38. With opportunities for points from clean sheets, defcon and goals, Mavropanos is a tempting differential to end the season with.

Ismaila Sarr

Ownership in FPL: 6.0%

Price: £6.4m

Position: Midfielder

A man who has been in good form in both the league and in Europe is the Palace winger, Ismaila Sarr. He has four goals in his last six in all competitions, and there is scope for more joy in gameweek 38.

Palace face the newly crowned champions Arsenal to end the season. Celebrations are fully underway in north London, and it remains to be seen what state the league winners will be in come Sunday. If they arrive at Selhurst a little bit worse for wear, Palace and Sarr could capitalise.

The Eagles have their own European final on Wednesday, so this match could represent a good opportunity to go into the final on a high.

With Mateta’s fitness struggles, Sarr benefits from a decent penalty share for Palace. Indeed, it was from the spot that he scored in gameweek 37.

Despite slightly limited minutes lately, Sarr still shows up well in his underlying data. He sits in the top 10 for big chances, xG and shots in the box over the last six gameweeks.

Chris Wood

Ownership in FPL: 4.6%

Price: £7.1m

Position: Forward

Our final differential is certainly more of a ‘vibes’ pick in Chris Wood. Given his struggles with injuries this season, he doesn’t have the minutes or data to build a convincing case, but the potential is there for him to find some joy on the final day for the 4.6% of managers who own him.

Forest have endured a tough campaign, but things are finally looking up. Chris Wood is fit again, and more importantly, safety is now assured. They go into their final home game of the season with the chance to give their fans a good send-off and build some positive momentum going into next season.

Their opponents, Bournemouth, have Europa League qualification sewn up and will be visiting Forest with nothing to do but attack, however unlikely fifth spot may be. They also come with a very poor defensive record away from home. They are behind only Burnley for expected goals conceded on their travels this season.

With Forest playing with freedom, there is the potential that this fixture could become very open, directly benefiting Chris Wood.

With 20 goals last campaign, Wood will be looking to add to his meagre three goals so far this season. His penalty share helps his case and boosts his appeal as a differential going into the final gameweek.

FPL Gameweek 38 Differentials: A Round Up

Antonee Robinson £4.9m is an attacking defender with penalty duties 0.9% Ownership.

Konstantinos Mavropanos £4.5m has potential at both ends of the pitch, and everything to play for 2.1%

Ismaila Sarr £6.4m is in great form and faces a potentially weakened Arsenal side 6.0%

Chris Wood £7.1m is back to fitness and is involved in a fixture that could provide plenty of goal-scoring opportunities 4.6%
