With only two gameweeks remaining, we focus on one-week punts for our differentials in gameweek 37. It is time to go big or go home in the 2025/26 FPL season.

Pedro Porro

Ownership in FPL: 10.7%

Price: £5.2m

Position: Defender

At one stage of the season, you would have been considered crazy to even think about bringing in a Spurs player, let alone a defender. With De Zerbi at the helm, Tottenham’s fortunes might be changing. Pedro Porro emerges as a viable differential option at just a touch over 10% ownership.

After a loss in De Zerbi’s first game, Spurs have gone on a run of four games unbeaten, picking up two wins in that time. Encouragingly for Porro, their defence has also improved during this spell. The only game they conceded more than 1.0 xG was against Leeds, and this was because of the penalty that Mathys Tel gave away.

Porro has been at the heart of the defensive improvements. His defcon numbers across the season have been nothing to write home about, but in the last four, he is averaging 10.5 contributions per 90. As a result, he has secured the additional two points in three of the last four gameweeks.

Spurs travel across the capital to Stamford Bridge in gameweek 37, to face a Chelsea attack that have been toothless of late. The Blues have managed just two goals in their last seven. With Tottenham starting to show some form themselves, this could be a great chance for them to get their first win away at Chelsea since 2018.

One visible change De Zerbi has made has been reinstating Pedro Porro to set-piece duties. He has taken his fair share of late and has delivered a league-leading 10 successful corners in the last six matches. He appears to have also received more license to attack, putting in more crosses than anyone else since gameweek 31.

Spurs are in desperate need of a result in gameweek 37, and benefit from facing a Chelsea side who will be three days removed from an FA Cup final against City. Porro could prove to be a very shrewd differential for anyone in need of a defensive asset.

Leandro Trossard

Ownership in FPL: 1.1%

Price: £6.5m

Position: Midfielder

Anytime a team has Burnley on their fixture list, it is worth paying attention. This is particularly true in gameweek 37 when it is the league leaders’ turn to host the already relegated Clarets. Leandro Trossard could stand to benefit from this matchup and is owned by just 1.1% of the game.

A note first on Burnley, whose defensive numbers need little introduction. No side in the league has conceded more big chances or xG, and they have shown few signs of improvement. Their recent form has them bottom for expected goals conceded (xGC) in their last six.

Encouragingly for Trossard, who lines up on Arsenal’s left wing, no side has conceded more crosses or key passes down that flank than Burnley. As they prepare for life in the Championship once more, Trossard could put them to the sword down their weak right-hand side.

The Belgian himself is in good form, having scored and assisted in his last two. He appears to be back among Arsenal’s preferred XI, having started and played 90 minutes in both matches.

He picked up an assist last time around against Burnley, and any returns this week could be considerably more decisive in the title race. With goal difference looking to be a factor as we go down to the wire, you can be sure that Arsenal will put out their strongest team and not let up, even if they score a few early on.

Bruno Guimaraes

Ownership in FPL: 5.4%

Price: £6.8m

Position: Midfielder

There was a time this season when Bruno Guimaraes was becoming almost essential for his home form. Fast forward a few months, and he sits at just 5.4% ownership, having missed considerable time through injury. Newcastle have missed him greatly and have slumped down the table. Now he is back and offering an opportunity as a differential once more.

There is a small chance that Newcastle can still qualify for some European football, so every game still matters to them. They face a West Ham side in even more dire need of a result in gameweek 37. The desperation could play into Newcastle’s hands depending on game state.

Fresh from injury, Bruno has been building some form alongside his fitness since his return in gameweek 33. His performance at Forest on Sunday was particularly encouraging; he created the most chances and took the joint most shots from both sides. He ended the match with 0.82 xGI and secured defcon along the way.

His aforementioned home form is a large part of his appeal. The Brazilian has 102 points in home matches, and this comes from just 12 starts. The matchup is there for this record to improve further. The Hammers have conceded the most chances in the league from set-pieces, and Bruno takes his fair share.

To add to this, there is a decent chance that Newcastle’s captain could take the next penalty. In Gordon’s absence in gameweek 25, he took the responsibility and scored. With Gordon looking to be on his way out, there is every chance that Bruno’s penalty share is even larger for gameweek 37.

FPL Gameweek 37 Differentials: A Round Up

Pedro Porro £5.2m is the creative mastermind in an improved Spurs side 10.7% Ownership.

Leandro Trossard £6.5m has the best fixture of the season and is in good form 1.1% Ownership.

Bruno Guimaraes £6.8m is fully fit again, boasting an incredible home record 5.4% Ownership.
